Legal
Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 27, 2026
STRYDE ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have under GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA/CPRA (California), and PIPEDA (Canada).
1. What we collect
Account & order data
- Name, email, password hash (account creation)
- Shipping address, order history, payment confirmations (no card numbers; handled by Stripe)
Find Your Fit quiz
- Activity, training frequency, goals, foot dimensions, demographic answers you provide
- UTM parameters, referrer, device type, anonymous session ID
- Email only if you choose to provide it, with a separate marketing-consent checkbox
Analytics & marketing
- Google Analytics 4: page views, traffic source, anonymized IP. Loaded only after analytics consent.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel: conversion events (add-to-cart, purchase, lead). Loaded only after marketing consent. Data is shared with Meta Platforms, Inc.
2. Legal basis (GDPR)
- Contract: processing your order, fulfilling pre-orders and pledges.
- Consent: analytics, marketing pixels, newsletter, quiz email capture.
- Legitimate interest: fraud prevention, securing the service.
- Legal obligation: tax records, accounting.
3. Sharing
We share data only with processors that help us operate STRYDE:
- Stripe: payments
- Lovable Cloud (Supabase): database, auth, file storage
- Google LLC: analytics (with your consent)
- Meta Platforms, Inc.: advertising pixels (with your consent)
- Email & shipping providers: to deliver your order and transactional messages
We never sell your personal data.
4. International transfers
Some processors store data outside the EU/UK/Canada (primarily the United States). We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where applicable.
5. Retention
- Account & orders: for the life of your account plus 7 years (tax)
- Quiz responses: 24 months, then anonymized for aggregate research
- Marketing list: until you unsubscribe
6. Your rights
Access, correction, deletion ("right to be forgotten"), portability, restriction, objection, and withdrawal of consent. California residents may opt out of "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising; rejecting marketing cookies in our banner satisfies this. Canadian residents may contact our privacy officer under PIPEDA.
Email privacy@strydebarefoot.com or use our contact form to exercise any right. We respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies
Our banner separates Necessary, Analytics, and Marketing cookies. Nothing in the latter two categories loads before you grant consent. You can change preferences anytime via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
8. Children
STRYDE is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Related policies
See our Terms of Service for the contract governing your use of STRYDE and our Refund & Shipping Policy for delivery and return terms.
