Our Story

Built from the
ground up.

STRYDE didn't start in a boardroom. It started with a problem nobody else would fix — and one athlete who wouldn't let it go.

Chapter One · The Floor

At 18, I walked into a gym with one goal.

To become stronger. What started as lifting weights grew into a lifelong pursuit of discipline and performance — the kind you can't fake, and the kind that shows up in the last rep, not the first.

By 20, I was competing as a bodybuilder. Learning how to push past limits. Learning how to stay consistent when it would have been easier to stop.

In my mid-twenties, I found mixed martial arts. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Muay Thai in Thailand. Boxing. Wrestling. Every discipline taught me the same lesson from a different angle: the ground doesn't lie.

Growth happens when you embrace discomfort.

Chapter Two · The Break

Then a game took it all out from under me.

I'd spent years in narrow, cushioned shoes — soccer, football — and never once questioned them. Then a college flag-football game left me with a broken tibia and a shattered ankle. The recovery was long, and somewhere inside it I started paying attention to the thing I'd ignored my whole athletic life: my feet. How the toes are meant to splay. How much strength and balance I'd been giving up by locking them away.

I went deep on barefoot movement and wide-toe-box footwear, and everything I'd felt on the mat in MMA finally clicked. A foot that's free to move the way it's built is a stronger, steadier foot. I couldn't unsee it — and I couldn't find a shoe that respected it.

Chapter Three · The Problem

Every shoe I trained in was asking me to choose.

Cushioned trainers that muted ground feel. Recovery shoes that couldn't handle a warm-up. Performance or recovery — never both, and always at the cost of the thing I trusted most: what I could feel through the sole.

The foot is already engineered. Our job is to protect it, not rewrite it. So I started with the platform: zero drop, minimal stack, an anatomical shape that lets the toes splay and the arch load the way they were meant to.

Less shoe. More you.

Chapter Four · The Philosophy

Barefoot by design.

Most shoes decide for you. This one gets out of the way. You feel the floor through a foot that's finally allowed to work — toes spread, arch loading, ankle honest. Power when you drive off the ground. Give when you need to recover. One platform that keeps up across every surface you train on, so you stop swapping shoes and start trusting one.

Chapter Five · The Work

Tested where it counts.

Every prototype earns its colorway on the mat, on the platform, on the track, and on turf. Real sessions. Real athletes. If it doesn't survive the work, it doesn't ship.

The fighter in me hasn't gone away. He's just building something bigger now: helping people move naturally, train confidently, and build something real for themselves.
